A personalised online session for a group designed to help families to begin homeschooling with peace of mind and confidence.

Starting home education can feel overwhelming — especially with so many curriculum options, learning approaches, and questions about the BELA Act. The Home Education Starter Group Consultation provides clear grounded guidance to help families to make informed decisions that align with their values and their childrens unique needs.

Drawing on over 20 years of experience in home education advocacy, family support, and education policy, this session gives you a practical and balanced overview of what homeschooling looks like in South Africa today.

  • During your consultation, we cover:
  • What home education is and how it works in everyday life
  • Different learning approaches
  • Curriculum options and pathways to Matric (or alternatives)

What Parents Are Saying

It is clear that Bouwe is deeply passionate about home education and equipping families to know their rights and responsibilities. We discussed different learning styles, curriculum choices, and pathways to Matric. The legal aspect was especially helpful — I now understand the implications of the BELA Act in a balanced and realistic way. An excellent starting point for any family beginning home education.”

— Parent returning to South Africa after living abroad

I gained a clear understanding of the homeschooling process and now have a practical roadmap to begin. The session covered legal requirements, registration decisions, and curriculum planning in a way that made everything feel manageable instead of overwhelming. I highly recommend this consultation — it is a valuable investment in your child’s future and your peace of mind.
